Job Description

The Sr. Manager, Value Added-Services (VAS) for North America, will be supporting the growth of revenue for the region by collaborating with strategy to define and manage the execution of various initiatives as well support the management and development of various sales programs to enable sellers to achieve their targets. 

 This role reports primarily to the Sr. Director, NA VAS GTM & Strategy and will also be accountable to various global VAS leads from the VAS COO organization. Success will require that this leader collaborate with and influence many functions across a matrixed organization (e.g., Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Strategy, and Customer Service).  This requires organizational savvy and strong interpersonal skills.  

 Our target candidate should be someone with project management experience, preferably in GTM and sales, and a highly effective communicator with the strong ability to partner with many stakeholders and problem solve through analytical reasoning, creativity, and sound judgment.  You should be comfortable challenging the status-quo in a sensitive, efficient, and constructive manner. 

  Responsibilities 

Support the strategy, implementation, and operating model of various strategic GTM sales programs 

  • Contributes to the go to market sales vision and assists in driving the successful implementation of those plans and strategies. 

  • Performance Tracking and Continuous Improvement: Closely monitor metrics tied to Sales programs to ensure success, governance, and accountability. 

  • Champion solution and value-selling sales methodologies, working closely with key stakeholders to create tools, approaches, and best practices that deliver sales acceleration across customer-facing teams. 

  • Operational Challenges: Work across regional and global functions to unblock and improve persistent operational challenges to drive growth in the business. 

  • Strategy, Project Management, and Organization: Serve as the center point for NA VAS tracking of strategic initiatives, development of ideas/strategies, and ensuring progress is being made with various cross-functional stakeholders. 

Locations: Open to any Visa office location, excluding NY

Travel: 10%

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least
5 years of experience with an Advanced Deg

Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least
5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or
2 years of work experience with a PhD
• 7+ years of relevant work experience in management consulting, corporate
strategy, and/or business/sales operations, with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at
least 5+ years of relevant work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g.
Masters, MBA, JD or MD)
• Exceptional strategic problem-solving skills, and influencing skills—to drive
tactical business outcomes within a global matrixed organization
• Consultative/entrepreneurial-mindset, with proven ability to cultivate high-
performance & drive operational transformation
• Self-starter with experience in cultivating business partnerships at a
divisional/executive level, with proven success in linking business strategies to
business outcomes
• Demonstrated ability of implementing strategic initiatives, policies, and
operational decisions
• Low Ego and strong desire to win as a team – pride of outcome vs. ownership
mentality
• Managing end-to-end projects at a top tier management consulting firm, or
experience in GTM Strategy, Corporate Strategy or relevant functions
