Full Stack Software Engineer

Verition Fund Management LLC (“Verition”) is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008.  Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.

We are looking for a talented engineer to join our growing team to help build out full stack applications relating to real-time processing.

Responsibilities:

• Develop highly optimized real-time processing application that can handle large volumes of data, integrate with 3rd party caching, visualizer platforms
• Interact with stake holders, derive technical requirements out of functional requirements
• Work independently, manage bandwidth and prioritize on multiple tasks at hand
• Interact with global teams

Qualifications:

• 5-7 yrs experience developing applications using Core Java
• 1-3 yrs RDBMS experience on Oracle or other database is required
• 1-3 yrs Experience interfacing with caching solutions like Hazelcast, Coherence, GemFire
• 1-3 yrs Web based front end development experience is required
• Production support experience including general maintenance, application deployments, version upgrades etc
• Experience with Containerized app development/deployment based on docker/Kubernetes is plus.
• Experience with third party systems that handle realtime data/rendering is plus
• Experience writing Excel VBA / automation is a plus
• Experience developing python based application is a plus
• Experience with reporting / analytical applications/products like powerbi, r-shiny, tableau is plus

 

Salary Range$120,000—$180,000 USD
