About the role

What You Can Expect 

ENGIE North America is seeking a highly analytical and process-driven intern to support critical business initiatives focused on budget forecasting, project development handoffs, process creation and automation, dashboard creation, and operational efficiency. In this role, you will support the annual and long-range budget processes through data collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting, while helping build templates to gather cross-functional inputs, cost drivers, budget inputs, and variance patterns. You will help maintain Power BI dashboards that provide visibility into budget performance, forecast assumptions, and project expenditures, and summarize findings into leadership-ready insights, trends, and recommendations. You will also evaluate the current Transfer Sheet Process for new renewable energy sites, map workflows, identify gaps and bottlenecks, and support practical automation recommendations using tools such as Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, and dashboards. 

  • Support documentation and automation of the annual budget cycle and standardized procedures for OPEX requirements used in new project evaluations. 

  • Collaborate with Operations, Development, Finance, Asset Management, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and improve handoff visibility and accountability. 

  • Build practical solutions that are easy for business users to maintain and apply, including dashboards, trackers, workflows, and process controls. 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Currently pursuing a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field 

  • Analytical skills and comfort working with numbers, large datasets, and business processes 

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, data validation, and structured workbooks 

  • Working knowledge of Power BI, dashboard development, data visualization, or business intelligence reporting. 

  • Ability to digest complex processes, ask thoughtful questions, and translate business needs into practical solutions. 

  • Exposure to Power Automate, SharePoint workflows, Microsoft Forms, or other process automation tools. 

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. 

 

Additional Details 

  • This role requires attendance at a worksite 

  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

  • This is a part-time internship working up to 20 hours per week, additional hours/weeks may be available based on business needs and will be discussed in advance with supervisor 

  • Additional terms may be available if interest by candidate and deemed appropriate by supervisor

Compensation 

Hourly Range:  $22.50 - $25.50 USD hourly 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
