Position Summary
The Visual Production Specialist plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of creative activities directly related to the company’s Corporate Marketing functions. The role is responsible, under direct supervision and laddering up to the SVP CMO, for creating content related to social media, internal needs, and external needs that offer value, build trust and encourage interaction between Guild customers, loan officers and leadership team. Beyond that, the value add is to attract potential consumers and industry professionals to join Guild. This role will be looked to as an expert in the field of video production under their supervisor.
Essential Functions
- 65% of role will be video editing
- Reviews, evaluates, edits, and cuts footage so that the final version tells a story or communicates information as planned by producers or directors. Refines audio through sound mixing, scoring, or other postproduction Reviews content for accuracy. May assist with pre-production planning. Maintains files of projects. Utilizes video editing software to add additional graphics, sounds, or images.
- Edits include the areas of corporate social media, internal messaging, external marketing campaigns, event coverage, and more.
- 25% will be filming
- Operates a camera to film desired content for usage on appropriate channels and generates lighting, audio, special effects, and background images for productions as needed. May be responsible for implementing real time audio for webinars, podcasts, or related purposes.
- Creates schedules, develops scripts, and selects locations or talent.
- 10% based on other creative disciplines
- Depending on the applicant, they will be asked to exercise on other creative disciplines depending on their skill set. Photography, animation, or design apply.
- Develop and implement marketing content including story development and high quality video to attract consumers and industry professionals to Guild website, online presence and promote online products or services.
- Perform effective intake and discovery of business needs, unique selling propositions and image selection as needed. Work directly with company stakeholders as needed.
- Actively use Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Edit all types of videos: short-form, long-form, interviews, promos, etc.
- Adhere to brand guidelines and standards, with the purpose of helping the organization present a consistent and unified brand; and educate and support others to stay on-brand.
- Work effectively within a high-performing results-oriented team of creative talent, including graphic designers and outside vendors that assist Guild in creating video and photo assets.
- Work to enrich the company’s position on a national level, with sensitivity to regional and local requirements for customization.
- Source in-house collaborators (support crew for assistance with shoots, cast members and talent selection for video concepts) as needed.
- Ensure a culture of collaboration, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Adhere to Compliance policies and procedures.
- Communicate with teammates on platforms such as Outlook, teams, and other platforms as needed.
- Act as a liaison with agencies, and vendors to communicate requirements and change requests.
- Maintain positive relationships with team members, internal clients, resources, and vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, or Marketing, video production, or field related to the position or equivalent, required.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum three years' experience gained in the video production space. Experience gained as a college student or worker is acceptable.
