The Regional Project Engineer is a pivotal member of the Americas Engineering Team, responsible for leading and executing capital projects across multiple plant locations in the region. This role will be responsible for leading Greenfield and Brownfield projects. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting operational and business objectives.
Key responsibilities include supporting and driving capital projects and plant upgrades by leveraging tools and methodologies from the Early Equipment Management (EEM) pillar of world-class manufacturing. This involves: Developing and refining basic and detailed designs. Preparing equipment specifications and cost estimates. Enhancing workplace organization through effective project planning. Completing capital appropriation processes and ensuring alignment with financial goals. Managing supplier selection and performance standards. Overseeing supplier management, equipment installation, and project start-up activities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and advancing the organization’s manufacturing capabilities.

Job Responsibilities
Working with regional teams to identify, specify, and lead installation of new equipment to support business objectives utilizing Early Equipment Management methodology in our regional facilities
Assist in the preparation of capital request including, project timeline, justification, benefits, capital cost estimates and proper depreciation schedule
Work with facility and purchasing group to select supplier and then manage supplier performance to cost and schedule
Work with Suppliers in Facility Acceptance Testing as outlined in EEM requirements
Work with facility to develop installation and testing plan
Assist with equipment start-up and achievement of vertical start-up objective
Work with facility on post project supplier evaluation
Assist in detailed equipment specifications and review and modify by working with suppliers.
Continually update Armacell standard specifications to stay in compliance with all code changes and company OGG’s.
Prepare and present project reports, updates, strategic plans and root cause analysis to all levels of the organization as needed.
Develop and update equipment and layout drawings utilizing AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Travel up to 35% of the time to support key projects
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent field of study
5+ years of engineering / manufacturing experience required
Must have professional written and oral communication skills
Must have strong project management and analytical problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated, results-oriented with ability to excel in a cross-cultural, global team environment
Intermediate PLC programming and drive set up skills is a plus
Ability to read and design electrical schematics is a plus
Equipment installation experience is a plus
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Works and Microsoft Office applications required
