Adventist HealthCare is hiring an experienced Mammography Technologist for our Outpatient Imaging Services in Rockville, MD.
Qualified candidates will be eligible for up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus. (*Current AHC employees not eligible – see below under additional details.)

As a Mammography Tech you will:
• Perform all Mammographic imaging studies. Properly identify patients, review orders and select appropriate protocol in order to maximize quality and safe patient care; Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Receive patients, explain procedures and answer all patient questions and concerns pertaining to the exam
• Be able to perform a variety of special imaging examinations including Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) using established or dictated protocols, equipment and perform as needed.
• Accurately perform documentation in all computer systems applicable to Breast Imaging (HIS, RIS, PACS, MagView)
• Operate imaging and other related equipment according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Monitor and assist patients, before during and after examinations. Recognize patient discomfort or medical problem and take appropriate actions if needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Maintain patient, hospital and employee confidentiality. To be able to provide quality care to patients of varying categories, i.e., Wheelchair bound, cognitive impaired.
• Apply the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients we serve in the office.
• Perform quality control, assist with and maintain pertinent local, state and federal records as applicable to different sections as well as inspections, i.e., ACR and MQSA
• Independently perform Mammography and Dexa; May be required to assist Radiologists to perform breast biopsies, such as Stereotactic breast biopsies, Molli, and Savi Scout placements on adult patient population within the Adventist Healthcare OP Imaging.
• Explain procedures to patients and educate women on the importance of mammograms for preventative breast health.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the care team to expedite patients’ examinations while maintaining World Class patient care and demonstrating AHC mission and values

Qualified candidates will posses:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduated from an accredited AMA/JRCERT School of Radiography or earned ARRT MRI registration via “primary eligibility pathway”
• Associates of Applied Science (AAS) preferred not required.
• 1-2 years of office experience required
• ARRT (RT) & (Mammo)(M) - Required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Work Schedule:

Monday- Friday 8:00AM- 4:30PM, no weekends.

Pay Range:

$37.17 - $55.76

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:
