This is a fully onsite role at our Fairburn Location.
We are looking for an experienced Supervisor, Health and Safety based in Fairburn, GA to plan and coordinate safety operations at the facility. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, and efficiency through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. It's an exciting time to join the syncreon team! We are hiring for Weekday 2nd Shift from 5:00pm to 3:30am.
About the role
How you will contribute
- Assist in the identification, development, and administration of complany safety training programs.
- Monitor, revise, and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations, laws or reporting requirements. Providing technincal safety and health support and information to all employees.
- Coordinate and adminsiter safety training initiatives for the company to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and all other regulatory requirements.
- Administer mandatory environmental, health and safety training and ensure all newly hired employees, agency employees, contractors, visitors and transferred employees recieve proper training.
- Assist with the enforcement of regulatory regulations and company policies.
- Assist with launches of new facilities in realtion to EHS programs.and complaints
- Ensure compliance to audit standards and work with auditors and vendors to answer findings and complants in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
- Ensure employees operate in a safe, orderly, and clean environment. Involved in the development of work procedures and makes health and safety recommendations accordingly.
- Review injury/illness and non-injury inceident investigation reports and follows up as necessary.
- Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employee's exposure to work hazards.
- Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety and environmental regulation compliance. This will inclide property ina nd around the facility.
- Review plans and specifications for development of new machinery, equipment or processes to determine whether all safety requirements have been met.
- Serve as a member of the First Aid/CPR Responder/ERT teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Key Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Safety and health or realted field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health, safety, and evnironmental regulatory requirements as it pertains to Federal, State, and local agencies.
- Capacity to be proactive and effectively communicate with and influence others.
- Demonstrated understanding of technical requirements associated with essential job functions.
- Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and ensure that plans, guidance, and advice is accurate, timely, and effective.
- Strong organziational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work and be flexible and available for on call hours before and/or after normal business hours in additon to off-shift hours as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office computer software applications including PowerPoint.
- OSHA 10 Hour or Basic Knowledge of Plant Safety.
- Current First Aid/CPR First Responder Training.
- Understanding of DOT Compliance and Regulations.
