Boeing Poland is seeking highly motivated Manufacturing Engineers (Associate, Experienced or Senior level) to join our Production Engineering Team in Rzeszow, Poland to support the Boeing Defense and Space (BDS) division.

Successful candidate will recognize the importance of cross-functional-teaming, technical leadership, and analytical problem-solving; and whom have a passion for demonstrating supporting actions daily.

We are seeking team members to lead and represent the build of the aircraft through:

  • The creation and refinement of aircraft zonal build plans – mitigating risks and developing sequenced-based execution plans

  • Committed Change / Design Change Build Implementation Leadership – Assessing Build Plan impacts, mitigating risks, and influencing producibility enablers

  • Consultation and advisement – leading stakeholder engagement and involvement in build plan aspects

  • Innovation and data analytics – driving continuous improvements

  • Condition of the Airplane – Integrator surrounding the health of the production system; acting as a bridge between design, the build plan, and the product

Up to 6-months assignment in US for familiarization and on-the-job training in assembly/production shop floor may be required from the candidate, depending on the program (TBD after project onboarding).

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.

  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.

  • Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.

  • Leads and implements manufacturing plans.

  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

  • Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.

  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.

  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.

  • Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.

  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.

  • Supports other team members as mentor/checker to meet engineering commitments.

  • Represents the team by providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects.

  • Leads/Guides a group of less experienced team members if needed due to project/team structure.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 3+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications (knowledge of ASME Y14 series standards is required)

  • 3+ years of experience utilizing professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues

  • Familiar with creating and modifying a bill of materials (BOM)

  • Experience creating and modifying text based and graphical work instructions to aid in the manufacturing process

  • Familiar with 3d modeling software: Catia/NX/Inventor

  • Upper Intermediate English level

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of aerospace products development lifecycle, build plan artifacts, and Lean production system principles

  • Ability to support, lead, and delegate the project team's responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycle
