Courier (Part-Time)

Description

This position is responsible for picking up and delivering business customers’ deposits to bank branches, delivering cash to business customers, and transporting items to/from bank branches. 

This is a part-time, less than 20 hours per week role.

Essential Duties: 

• Drives to delivery/pick up sites following a specific route.
• Keeps a log of items received and delivered.
• Obtains receipts or payment for articles delivered as necessary.
• Services vehicle driven by checking fluid levels and replenishing as needed and refuels as needed.
• Maintain neat and orderly work area and ensure that all negotiable and confidential records are properly secured.
• Protect the bank and customer information, knowledge of customers and their relationship with the 
• Bank must be kept in absolute confidence.
• Represent F & M Bank professionally and courteously while in contact with the public. 
• Maintains regular, reliable attendance. 

Bank wide Expectations: 

• Stays current, maintains knowledge of, and complies with all F & M products and services and policies and procedures.
• Maintains organized files and a neat and orderly work area and secures all negotiable and/or confidential records.
• Protects the bank's and customers' information; knowledge of customers and their relationship with the Bank must be kept in absolute confidence.
• Displays a positive, cooperative spirit; professionalism; and a responsible attitude to staff and customers always. 
• Leads by example while being a team player. 
• Participates in Bank-sponsored and other community/civic events as schedule allows.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety/security rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and/or in writing. 
• Ability to operate a vehicle in normal as well as extreme weather conditions, i.e. rain, snow, wind, etc. 

Education and/or Experience (Required and Preferred) 

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: 

• Current driver's license with a good driving record.

Position Type/Hours: 

This is a part-time, non-exempt level position working Monday – Friday with other days and hours as necessary to accomplish duties.
