GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Join the Department of Fire Prevention & Electrical Safety in Cheyenne as our Office Manager & Budget Specialist. In a small agency, you aren't just a number—you're a core leader whose financial oversight and daily coordination directly support our team and keep our state safe.
This position will be responsible for the agency's budget and accounting practices. This position manages the daily operations of the accountant and administrative support staff within the agency. This position is required to know and manage the agency's budget from start to finish. In addition, this position serves as an assistant to the Director, provides support of the agency's strategic plan works within the agency's record management, and license management systems.

- Responsible for the agency's budget and fiscal monitoring, including the development and oversight of the Department's annual assessments to fund the budget.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures for the agency's accountant and administrative support staff.
- Participates in strategic planning and documents the progress of the agency's strategic goals.
- Performs research and analyzes data.
- Manages and oversees all Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Grants, and Fixed Assets functions for the agency.
