BASIC FUNCTION:

Support Division of Science, Technology and Innovation (NYSTAR) team to map, characterize, and socialize our network of over 80 assets (university centers, manufacturing centers, incubators, accelerators, etc). This includes tagging these assets by relevant industries and technologies, understanding funding appropriations and structures, and developing multiple visualizations and/or documents accessible to internal and external audiences to better understand the full NYSTAR innovation ecosystem.

 

WORK PERFORMED:

  • Internal and external outreach to better understand and characterize NYSTAR’s 80+ innovation assets (data collection)
  • Documentation and visualization of innovation ecosystem, including asset inventory, industry and technology tagging, and visualization in multiple form from MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoints, SharePoint) to potentially interactive tools (online maps, web pages)
  • Support NYSTAR team as needed


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education level required: Actively enrolled in bachelor’s degree program.

 

Knowledge Required: 

Excellent written and oral communication skills

MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Database experience preferred

Knowledge / experience with web tools preferred

 


APPROXIMATE HIRING SALARY:   $15.50/hr
