Come join our talented team that delivers Application Operations, Maintenance, and Modernization services while sustaining mission-critical grants management systems for a federal agency. Our team consists of application developers, business and requirements analysts, project managers, and database developers and administrators. We are embarking upon exciting initiatives to modernize multiple legacy on-premise systems and migrate all heterogeneous on-premise host platforms into an integrated, shared services Cloud computing environment.


Summary of Major Job Functions

Non-technical activities: Provide inputs for management-related deliverables.

Technical activities: This Senior Software Developer (Granicus Grantium Subject Matter Expert) will provide technical and management leadership in the operation, maintenance, modernization, and enhancement of specialized COTS products to achieve mission objectives. Performs the technical tasks described below either independently or as a member of a scrum team performing these tasks for one or more grant systems.


Operations and Maintenance:

  • Perform software application maintenance, including defect fixes and COTS product version upgrades, following SDLC/Agile processes to improve system functionality, maintainability, and performance.
  • Conduct requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of changes and minor enhancements to existing applications.
  • Provide operations support and trouble ticket remediation for deployed functionality.
  • Support maintenance activities, including application bug fixes and MicroStrategy report generation.
  • Implement system configurations in the Grantium product to operationalize annual changes for automating competitive grant cycles.
  • Develop and deploy configurations of a Grantium-based system to automate annual grant program competitions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-depth, hands-on Grantium COTS Product subject matter expertise.
  • Provide Tier 3/Tier 4 technical support to resolve complex Grantium-based technical issues, configuration/versioning incompatibilities, and system interoperability problems.
  • Develop and update technical deliverables. 
Requirements


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or similar discipline. Substitution of experience for education may be made where four (4) years of additional experience will be equivalent to a four (4) year degree.
  • 8 years of total industry experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in business process analysis/workflow improvement.
  • Minimum of four (4) or more years of experience performing design and coding/configuration of forms and workflows using the Granicus Grantium COTS Product.
  • Expertise in developing software in a Linux OS/Oracle Database backend and Weblogic-based front-end on-premise client-server platform environment.
  • Expertise in Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of, and experience with, grants management processes at a federal agency.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MicroStrategy development, especially related to data content, and experience developing SQL scripts for data compilation and report creation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Data analytics, visualization, and architecture.
  •  MicroStrategy and OLAP skills are desirable for Business Intelligence and report development.

Certifications:

  • Desired: Possess one or both of the following certifications:
    • Certified Java Programmer
    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

Additional Information:

  • Clearance: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
    Background checks may include Criminal History, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Professional Certifications, and Credit History. (Public Trust investigations typically take 4–8 weeks and require fingerprinting.)
  • Work Environment: Flexible/remote, with occasional on-site support as needed.
    Salary Range: $115,000 – $152,000 annually
