Job Description:

HOW A DATA ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Designs, develops, maintains, and tests infrastructures for data generation as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams.

• Designs and develops solutions in AWS to meet customer and team needs for data.

• Manage production data within multiple datasets ensuring fault tolerance and redundancy.

• Collaborate with the rest of data engineering team to design and launch new features. Includes coordination and documentation of dataflows, capabilities, etc.

• Database administration and development experience will be a plus for consideration.

• Works closely with data scientist to incorporate data analytics into data pipelines.

• Works closely with software engineers to incorporate data analytics driven by data scientists in applications created in house for the enterprise.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant career field.

• Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience.

• Required Technical Skills: Cloud Technologies like AWS, SQL, Python, RDS

• Security Clearance Level: Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance

• Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to translate abstract requirements, knowledge of Cloud Computing best practices,

• Preferred Skills: Data Bricks, Atlassian Products, Git, Experience with DoD, Elasticsearch, GraphQL

• Location: MacDill AFB, on customer site.

The likely salary range for this position is $89,250 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
