The role:

We are currently seeking a talented Project Manager Associate to join our SoFi Lending Platform Team, supporting Personal Loans, Student Loan Refinance, Private Student Loan, and Mortgage products. This individual will provide core PMO support to the Lending Platform.

 

They will assist with the development and coordination of project management materials for cross-functional and cross-team initiatives, identifying opportunities to change, enhance, or streamline existing business projects and initiatives. They will be expected to coordinate and collaborate with large cross-functional teams, communicating and managing updates and status, risks and opportunities effectively across the business units. This position interacts daily with business leaders of the Lending Platform, functional stakeholders (engineering, product, marketing, risk,etc). They will assist with our organization and management of  impactful initiatives and projects for the Lending Platform.

What you’ll do: 

 

• Provide core PMO support to Lending Platform Business Units 
• Design and build best-in-class PMO processes, tools, and governance capabilities
• Develop and manage materials for BAU processes and cross product and team initiatives for company wide visibility (procedures, project logs, status updates, deliverables, etc.)
• Manage overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverable dates can be clearly communicated
• Track and refine plans and initiatives per delivery execution issues, risks and dependencies.
• Partner with stakeholders and business leaders to identify timeline and resource gaps, resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion, and hold stakeholders as accountable
• Maintain timely communication between cross functional teams and motivate people involved in the project to complete tasks on time.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and make recommendations for change
• Effectively manage multiple concurrent projects across various teams and product lines 

What you’ll need:

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience leading projects within a fast-paced and strong regulatory and compliance environment 
• Proven experience managing large initiatives across multiple functions and stakeholders; creating project plans, tracking updates, and reporting on KPIs
• Experience leading a multi-dimensional programs function in a highly dynamic environment with a keen focus on accountability and delivery excellence
• Self-starter that takes initiative for proactively supporting both strategy and tactical execution plans with high attention to detail and delivery excellence
• Excellent interpersonal skills including effective listening, written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence and align strategic priorities
• Outstanding collaboration skills with the desire and patience to work cross-functionally with a diverse global team to establish and meet shared organizational goals
• Experience with large financial institution or bank preferred 
• PMP certification preferred
