About the role

The Facility Maintenance Technician is a skilled worker in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all components of plant process equipment, HVAC systems and complex hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance/repairs/troubleshooting and installation on the following process plant equipment, but not limited to: pumps, motors, gear drives, shredders and other rotating equipment with an emphasis on seals, bearings and mechanical seals

• Removal and installation of process valves

• Metal fabrication and welding skills are a plus

• Must be proficient in the installation and fabrication of process piping systems, pertaining to threading, welding and soldering.

• When instructed - you will be required to clean, paint and perform labor work

• Additional work related to buildings and ground maintenance

• Local travel required

• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred or OR minimum 5 years proven working experience

• Valid driver’s license

• Provide some personal tools/list available on request

• Must be able to work in adverse/inclement weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

• HVAC certification or experience is a plus

• Electrical and instrumentation experience are a plus.

Physical Demands of the Role:

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb 

• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs 

• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces 

• Qualify to wear a full-face respirator  

• Consistently work in various weather conditions
