We are seeking a part-time (32 hours/week) Medical Records Coordinator to support Wentworth Health Partners practices. The schedule would be four days per week, Tuesday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
The Medical Records Coordinator will be responsible for preloading and organizing patient information within the EPIC system. This includes reviewing and entering comprehensive patient data for all new patients within the Wentworth-Douglass organization, such as medical history, immunizations, and other relevant clinical documentation. The role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when preparing and updating patient charts.
This position is primarily focused on data entry and chart preparation, with minimal phone interaction, limited to occasional communication with internal offices as needed. Qualified candidates should have prior experience in a healthcare or medical office setting, along with a basic understanding of medical terminology. Experience with Epic or a similar EMR system is strongly preferred.
This role requires an initial 90-day onsite training period in Portsmouth, NH. Upon successful completion of training, the position will transition to a fully remote work environment.

Essential Functions
-Oversee the creation, collection, maintenance, and retention of patient medical records.
-Develop and implement effective systems for organizing and indexing medical records.
-Retrieve medical records as needed for patient care, research, billing, or legal purposes.
-Enter patient information into the hospital's electronic health record system, including demographic data, medical history, diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans.
-Strictly adhere to privacy regulations (e.g., Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act - HIPAA) and maintain patient confidentiality.
-Review medical records regularly to identify and address any discrepancies or errors.
-Process requests for the release of medical records to authorized individuals or organizations while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
-Provide training and support to hospital staff regarding medical record documentation best practices, privacy regulations, and proper use of EHR systems.

Associate's Degree Health Information Management preferred
Associate's Degree Related Field of Study preferred
