The Opportunity 🔍

As a Principal Engineer, your objective is to lead design proposals and technical reviews with a balance of business, product, and technical awareness. In addition to this, you will affect change by promoting technical decision making through design discussions, validations, and feedback loops that will directly impact Shippabo’s engineering culture.

1. Server Architecture: We follow paradigms of clean architecture (layered architecture, onion architecture), with focus on concern isolation, complexity reduction, and developer experience in order to achieve scalability in software architecture and cognitive reasoning in a complex business environment.
2. Engineering Culture: We approach engineering collaboratively through feedback, communication, and quick validation in the effort to elevate the team universally. We do this by encouraging open discussion, team goal alignment, continuous improvement, and respect through empathy and humility
3. Software Development: Our passion is building scalable software and value for our users. We do this by writing code that is declarative, easy to read, maintain, and extend. We also strive to understand the value our team and Shippabo delivers and ensure that we are always providing a quality user experience

Essentials for Success 🏆

1. Prior experience in defining and leading initiatives focused on software architecture scalability
2. Expert command of: React, GraphQL, Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, JavaScript (ES2015+ features, tooling), and HTML/CSS3
3. Exceptional ability to communicate technical problems succinctly and advocate for a solution
4. Must reside in the U.S or Canada as we are not hiring globally - (yet!)
