About the Opportunity
The Research Department has an immediate opening for a Senior Business Analyst, reporting to the Vice President and Richmond Regional Executive. This role will support the Bank’s strategic plans and high priority objectives by coordinating, advising, and assisting Regional Executive outreach to businesses, community leaders, and other contacts with a perspective on regional economic trends. Specifically, this role will support the Charlotte-based Regional Executive and outreach team whose outreach covers North and South Carolina. The role also ensures these efforts are well coordinated with the Office of the President. Additionally, the role requires research, analysis and synthetization of information in order to provide written briefing documents for the Regional Executives and President.
What you will do:
- Curate an extensive set of external business, banking, and community contacts in the Carolinas that serves as a foundation for the Department’s information gathering and community outreach efforts
- Use company databases, knowledge of industry and the region, and strong knowledge of existing and potential contacts to advise the Regional Executives on outreach strategy that helps sense economic and community issues and strengthen the Bank’s presence in the Fifth District.
- Provide project coordination for regional outreach events in the Fifth District, such as the Community Conversations program.
- Coordinate and prepare briefing materials for Regional Executives’ outreach and events conducted with the Office of the President.
- Support the Regional and Community Analysis unit by taking notes at business roundtables, distilling economic themes, and contributing writing to the Beige Book report on economic conditions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5 to 9+ years of relevant work experience
- A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field required.
- Experience with Salesforce customer relationship management tool preferred.
- Knowledge of economic and business trends and demonstrated experience working with financial statements
- Strong relationship management skills
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical ability with a willingness to take ownership of process, including continuous improvement
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to concisely convey critical information in briefing documents, reports and summaries
- Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Office suite along with various other online applications.
- Strong engagement skills sufficient to interact with all levels of external constituents and with people at all levels of the organization.
- May require occasional extended work hours, travel, and schedule flexibility.
