Global Planning Manager

<h3>Description</h3> <p><strong>Main purpose of the role:</strong></p><p>The Global Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing cargo stowage planning, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards across our Global Operations.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Optimize Cargo Stowage:</strong> Lead the efficient global planning of cargo stowage to meet both commercial objectives (maximizing vessel utilization) and operational requirements (enhancing port productivity and optimizing shifts).</li><li><strong>Ensure Regulatory Compliance:</strong> Guarantee full adherence to international maritime standards and vessel safety regulations, minimizing risk and ensuring the safety of cargo, crew, and vessels.</li><li><strong>Escalation Management:</strong> Take ownership of and resolve any escalated issues from regional planning teams, ensuring timely and effective solutions to challenges.</li><li><strong>Baplie File Accuracy:</strong> Oversee the accurate and timely submission of Baplie files for both partner-operated and company-operated vessels, ensuring seamless communication and data flow within the ACR process.</li><li><strong>Team Leadership:</strong> Manage the global planning team by staffing appropriately and evaluating team member performance, ensuring high levels of productivity and skill development.</li><li><strong>Training and Development:</strong> Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for planners, enhancing their technical expertise and ensuring alignment with industry best practices.</li></ul> <h3>Requirements</h3> <ul><li>Master Mariner with at least 10 years of experience in ship planning and operational management within the maritime industry.</li><li>Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of successfully managing, mentoring, and motivating teams. Previous experience in team management and staff development is essential.</li><li>Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to achieve operational excellence.</li><li>In-depth understanding of the global planning function and its critical role within the organization’s operational strategy.</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>A strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to assess complex data and make informed, data-driven decisions.</li><li>Advanced English.</li></ul>
