Your Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Product Design & Integration Engineer for John Deere Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will...

 

• Develop and integrate the engine control unit (ECU) into the engine control system
• Plan and prioritize development tasks for the ECU electronic hardware team
• Lead collaboration between ECU electronic hardware and engine controls teams 
• Capture ECU product requirements from John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) and provide ECU application requirements to JDPS

What Skills You Need

 

• 3 or more years of experience performing complex engineering work requiring application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
• Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions
• Demonstrated exceptional communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
• Understanding of electronic components and electronic systems

What Makes You Stand Out

 

• Electronics design experience
• Knowledge of electronic control systems
• Basic understanding of compression and spark ignition engines
• Experience with test and measurement tools (e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters)
• Agile methodology experience including Scrum Master or Product Owner roles
• Systems Engineering experience

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
