Professional Overview
This position performs independent administrative support work, assisting management with research and analysis on a variety of operational matters. Responsibilities include handling assignments broad in scope, requiring sound judgement, independent decision-making, and the application of established policies, laws, rules, and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements
Administrative Experience
Demonstrated administrative or clerical experience supporting business operations, including data entry, report preparation, records management, or office coordination. Experience may include work in accounting, personnel, purchasing, or general administrative support.
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 1 year of administrative experience.
Substitutions
Administrative or clerical experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required year of experience.

- Assist with special projects and assignments in support of operational needs
- Assist in conducting research to support administrative and program functions
- Assist with personnel-related functions in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Assist in the coordination of daily administrative operations
- Assist with tracking and logging area approvals and counselor status
- Assist training staff in travel rules, regulations, and related processes
- Assist with providing administrative support to other units, including travel as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of administrative principles and practices; office procedures and operations; methods of data collection; and techniques of effective communication.
Ability to collect evaluate, and analyze data related to administrative functions (e.g., accounting, personnel, purchasing, and reporting); prepare correspondence and administrative reports; and interpret and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; utilize problem-solving techniques; work independently; plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments; communicate effectively; and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
