As an Engineer Sr., you will conduct technical and economic evaluations, performance testing, design and construction of new and existing facilities, and research on new developments, applying your strong understanding of industry and operational requirements. Taking initiative and anticipating customer needs will make you a stand-out player. Confidence in presentation-making and the ability to work independently and as a team leader are also vital in this role!

As a member of the Equipment Reliability team, you will be responsible for long-term programmatic solutions to pipeline, compressor stations, processing facilities, and cryogenic valves across the enterprise.  This includes developing models to improve system performance, standards for engineering and procurement, and support for operational issues. The ability to balance multiple projects, resolve conflicts, and participate in industry-relevant committees, groups and panels will be an expectation of this role.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Accounts for a diverse range of sophisticated assignments requiring the use of experience, innovation and judgment

  • May supervise the work of others

  • Demonstrates technical expertise in a specialty, geographic area, or operational function and applies specialized knowledge in the effective completion of large-scope projects

  • Prepares and delivers presentations

  • Anticipates internal/external customer needs; assesses requirements and identifies solutions

  • Interprets internal/external business challenges and improves products, processes or services

  • Collaborates with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs

  • Champions processes, procedures and safety standards

  • Monitors and controls costs and resources associated with projects

  • Supports various teams and external customers to ensure reliability, develops and maintains company standards for valve selection, actuation, testing, and preventive maintenance, and participates in new valve qualification testing, post-mortem valve inspections, and incident investigations
  • Ensures compliance with standards and regulations, optimizes costs, coordinates with local personnel on maintenance and environmental concerns, and maintains industry awareness to understand current trends in ownership base, manufacturing locations, and quality assurance systems
  • Successful candidates will possess skills in collaboration and managing urgency
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license; A minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum seven (7) years of progressive engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry and PE Certification

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills

  • Proficiency in engineering specialties covering more than one subject area

  • Preferred: Project Management experience
