Senior Data Analyst

This role will be directly responsible for supporting Progyny’s efforts to provide an enhanced member experience and better insights to Progyny stakeholders. This role will also be expected to help challenge and mature analytical approaches at Progyny; as such, a successful candidate should be motivated by a desire to help shape their environment, not simply follow the established status quo.

Success in this role is measured by the following:

• Development of analytical reports and insights.

• Design of A/B experiments and subsequent experimental result communication.

• Ability to leverage your knowledge of various business intelligence and statistical approaches to help the team make decisions.

• Working “without a net”: navigating past ambiguity through the application of your judgment and experience

• Ability to find pragmatic options to tactical vs. strategic implementation dilemmas

What you'll do...

• Working with stakeholders to design, implement, and communicate clearly analytical results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Generate streamlined re-useable reports for use internally as well as externally.

• Conduct exploratory analyses that identify areas of opportunity and challenge for the Progyny member and employee experience.

• Support the development of experiments and subsequent statistical analyses and develop documentation of those results.

About you...

Must have:

• Strong communication skills

• Experience working with a business intelligence or reporting tool.

• Expertise in identifying and conducting statistical analyses. Should understand basic assumptions for a variety of analyses and how those assumptions are checked.

• 7+ years of consistent, professional SQL development experience

• 4+ years of Python development experience specifically working with Pandas or Polars

Must have at least 1 of these:

• Experience working with graph data models and databases.

• Experience working with Machine Learning and AI teams.

• Working experience with the FHIR data model.
