Your Responsibilities
As a Software PV&V Engineer for John Deere in East Moline, IL, you will:
- Understand the designed functional behavior, software development process, and customer and system requirements in order to create and execute software test plans for the different systems at play on John Deere Planter, Air Seeder, Tillage, and Sprayer machines;
- Coordinate and plan resource availability, both personnel and assets, to support validation tests; Provide close support to Brazil focused programs activities, especially software related, happening in the US or needing support from engineering teams allocated in the US;
- Train and provide technical support to engineering teams in Brazil developing similar work as well as to other engineers and technicians running test machines in the US;
- Provide timely feedback to software development teams in terms of software quality assurance, ensuring data availability for investigation of every issue found during software tests;
- Master and enhance software testing processes and procedures;
- Take part on the development of the different vehicle modules software requirements based on customer and business needs.
- 25% domestic and international travel required.
What Skills You Need
- 4 years of experience in lead product design, requirements definition, and testing of agriculture equipment programs for North and South American market
- 4 years of experience in knowledge of customer requirements and uses cases for agricultural machines in North and South America
- 4 years of experience in use of data acquisitions tools to collect data and troubleshoot issues on agricultural machines
- 4 years of experience in implementation, analysis, and diagnostics experience of CAN systems with CAN tools
- 4 years of experience in design, implement and troubleshoot embedded software, electrical and hydraulic systems
- 2 years of experience in product and software testing requirements development, planning, execution, and analysis experience focused on Software-In-Loop, Hardware-In-Loop, and on Vehicle Testing
- 4 years of experience in train test engineers and technicians on product knowledge as well as software testing
