Sr. Process Engineer

The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a dedicated Sr. Process Engineer that will be responsible for all phases of large-scale assigned process or manufacturing improvement projects, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost.
The Sr. Process Engineer implements process improvements to meet quality standards, designs and conducts feasibility studies, solves problems and creates necessary documentation and aides in communication to personnel.
This role will be a full-time remote/virtual position and will travel up to 50% (as needed) to support projects. You will have the opportunity to serve as a resource to other engineers and coordinate all work within the scope of assigned projects. What we’re looking for:
- Education: College Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial or related area.
- Experience:
- Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
- 8+ years of applicable experience in a similar position desired.
- Experience with warehouse automation preferred.
- Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to travel up to 50% in order to support projects.
- Excellent organizational, project and people management skills and a strong understanding of logistics.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or other process improvement methods and Lean Logistics.
- Ability to motivate associates using effective interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.
- Must be a self-starter, detail oriented and able to manage vendor/business relationships.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and advanced skills in software applications such as Access and Visio preferred.

- Responsible for data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support logistics management.
- Clarifies and resolves complex business issues.
- Manage data through data mining, data modeling, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, process mapping and/or problem analysis.
- Perform research and benchmarking on industry best practices related to warehousing and transportation.
- Systematically interact with process owners and users to obtain feedback and to verify performance.
- Manage the optimization of resources and processes in compliance with company policies/procedures.
- Write SOPs and training documents to establish standard work and develops initial documents for new processes and systems.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$109,000.00 - $181,000.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
