DoorDash is looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong platform mindset to lead the Merchant Menu Platform team. The team’s mission is to build menu platform capabilities to enable product innovations and increase quality, efficiency, and developer velocity.

About the Role

As the Engineering Manager for the Merchant Menu Platform team, you will lead a group of talented backend engineers to develop impactful features and scalable platforms. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams across the Merchant and Consumer organizations to execute a strategic roadmap that enhances merchant satisfaction and engagement. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of exceptional systems that are scalable, reliable and unlock the best in class product and tech innovations.

We’re excited about you because you have…

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience in people management leading full stack product teams 
• 8+ years of industry experience
• Strong product sense and can be a thought partner with cross-functional peers
• Experience selecting and adopting web technologies to improve testing and performance
• A customer-centric mindset and will apply that to building out platform services
• Growth mindset - you're eager to expand your skill set and excited to carve out your career path in a hyper-growth setting
• Adaptability, resiliency, and ability to thrive in ambiguity - things can change quickly, and you'll need to help the team evolve

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.  Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.
