Summary

Providing administrative support and coordination primarily in the areas of reception and scheduling, coordinating with multi-disciplinary departments at the Roger Maris Cancer Center. May include but not limited to answering telephone, taking and sending messages, registering patients and scheduling follow up, as well as answering general informational questions.

Job Description

Providing administrative support and scheduling coordination primarily with Radiation Oncology, but also coordinating with the multi-disciplinary departments inside and outside the Sanford Health enterprise. May include but not limited to answering telephone, taking and sending messages, registering patients and scheduling follow up, as well as answering general informational questions. Role may include gathering insurance information and referrals when applicable, as well as clerical activities such as distributing faxes and mail. Additionally, role includes working closely with medical professionals and may involve managing vacation schedules for providers and advanced practitioner providers.

Individuals who would thrive in this role would have high attention to detail with excellent written and oral communication skills. They would enjoy working on a team in a fast-paced environment, and would need to demonstrate exceptional time management skills. Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to multi-task will allow this individual to thrive as well.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Applicable experience preferred.

Based on facility needs, may require a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
