HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Senior Individual and Planned Giving Officer is responsible for managing a portfolio of prospects to secure financial resources to meet SDZWA's immediate and long-term priorities; this position will work closely with the philanthropy team, volunteers, and committee members, as well as donors and prospects. This position reports to the Director of Philanthropy.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Manages dedicated portfolio of 125 donors and prospects
• Identifies, qualifies, cultivates and solicits donors for gifts of $100,000 and up
• Maintains continuous relationships with prospects/donors
• Provides complex interpretation regarding fund raising and planned gift vehicles
• Collaborates and liaises with volunteers such as committee members
• Recommends specific designation and level of gift for solicitations
• Meets financial goals of campaign with respect to individual and planned gifts
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The position will have an emphasis on government grants and corporate and foundation fund raising. A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in government grant and corporate and foundation fund raising, including prospecting for opportunities, effectively discerning "matches" between the funder's guidelines and potential donors, possessing strong skills in cultivating donors, grant writing to the funder's specifications, and following through with post-grant reports and stewardship strategies. A finalist would be equally comfortable making a face-to-face request for funds as well as crafting a persuasive written grant application. A successful candidate would be an approachable team player for the Corporate, Foundation, and Government Grants team and the Philanthropy team and have the ability to meet ambitious financial goals. • Salary Range: $113,410 to $127,586

The posted salary range represents the full compensation potential for this role over time. Initial hiring offers are typically made within the lower to mid portion of the range and are based on a combination of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and organizational considerations. Placement near the top of the range is generally reserved for individuals who demonstrate sustained performance, growth, and expanded responsibilities in the role over time.
