Are you an experienced nursing educator with a passion for program development and student success? The College of Western Idaho (CWI) is seeking a Program Lead for our Bachelor’s of Nursing Program. This 11-month faculty position offers the opportunity to shape nursing education, lead accreditation efforts, and mentor faculty while maintaining an adjusted teaching load.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Curriculum Development

Lead and coordinate curriculum development, course outlines, and learning outcomes for nursing faculty.

Partner with the Department Chair to maintain and improve the program’s accreditation and quality standards.

Develop and implement student admission criteria in collaboration with faculty and leadership.

Create and update the program handbook and essential course materials.

Oversee program assessment and continuous improvement efforts.
Faculty & Student Support

Serve on hiring committees to recruit and onboard full-time and adjunct faculty.

Mentor and support faculty through evaluations, professional development, and student feedback.

Facilitate student evaluations of faculty and assist faculty in addressing student concerns.

Participate in student orientation and retention initiatives.
Institutional Engagement & Administration

Represent the program in departmental, division, and faculty meetings.

Work with leadership to determine staffing needs, enrollment strategies, and scheduling.

Support budgetary planning and grant development for program sustainability.
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Licensing:
-
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher required
-
Current Idaho RN license in good standing
Experience & Expertise:
-
5-8 years of experience with increasing responsibilities in organizational and operational effectiveness, including program management, student recruitment, and retention

Knowledge of nursing program accreditation and re-accreditation processes

Experience in program planning, implementation, personnel management, budget oversight, and program evaluation

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse students, faculty, and staff
