The Boeing Precision Engagement Systems Team is currently looking for an Aerodynamics Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Senior) to join the team based in St. Charles, MO.

Within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) organization, the Weapons business is growing with multiple ongoing production and development programs serving the US Air Force, US Navy, US Army, and international customers.  Selected candidates will work a wide range of Weapons programs with responsibilities including aerodynamic design, stability & control analysis, aerodynamic database development, wind tunnel testing, store separation modeling and analysis, and flight testing.  Come join the Boeing Team!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Aerodynamic configuration design, performance predictions, and stability & control analysis

  • Missile freestream and store separation wind tunnel test planning, execution, data analysis, and post-test documentation

  • Aerodynamic database development from wind tunnel, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and flight test data

  • Aerodynamic database integration into 6 degrees of freedom (6-DOF) simulation tools

  • Flight test planning, execution, and data analysis

  • Integration of analysis codes and models within a Digital Engineering architecture

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 1+ years of experience or coursework in aerodynamic configuration design and analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current active Secret U.S. security clearance

  • 3+ years of experience or coursework in aerodynamic configuration design and analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of experience or coursework in aerodynamic configuration design and analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years of experience with one or more of the following programming languages (e.g., Python, FORTRAN, Matlab, C, C++)

  • Knowledge of aerodynamic analysis principles, processes, methods, and tools for Weapons program flight vehicles

  • Experience with aerodynamic performance and stability & control analysis

  • Experience conducting wind tunnel testing

  • Experience with aerodynamic database development

  • Experience using CFD tools

  • Experience with 6 degrees of freedom (6-DOF) and 3 degrees of freedom (3-DOF) simulation tools

  • Experience with store separation modeling, analysis, and flight clearance processes

  • Experience conducting weapons or aircraft flight testing
