Job Duties: Work on the UAT / stress testing of Blackrock’s proprietary self-service tools and engage with stakeholders to provide updates on enhancements. Design flexible enhancements, automate solutions to bring data into the Aladdin program. Develop relationships with external data providers including, but not limited to custodians, investment managers, index vendors, and other institutional data providers. Utilize SQL coding to extract and analyze large sets of data. Perform Perl coding to migrate data to Python-based versions and Unix coding to run internal commands. Familiarize new analysts and associates with business process. Establish positive relationships with relationship managers, business development sales team members, and other client facing team representatives. Enhance generic converters for modifying client financial files to BlackRock formats.

Qualifications: Master's degree in Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related field. Foreign equivalent accepted. 36 months of experience in job offered or related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of the above listed fields and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the above listed skills. 1. Working on financial projects and conducting project implementations; transmitting, loading, and analyzing large sets of financial data through files and other standard industry datafeeds; 2. Utilizing SQL coding to extract and analyze large sets of data; leveraging Python to develop tools and enhance and transform data processes; and, 3. Performing Perl coding to migrate data to Python-based versions and Unix coding to run internal commands.

For Seattle only the salary range for this position is $112,700 - $120,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
