Position Summary:
The College of Nursing (CON) is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor – Practice Teaching Track and Director of The Dual Degree DNP/ MHA or DNP/MBA Program. We are seeking candidates to join our community of scholars who are passionate about nursing and want to thrive in a creative and caring work environment. FAU’s Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing is known internationally for its dedication to Caring: expanding the science, practicing the art, studying the meaning, and living it day-to-day. We offer four-degree programs (BSN, MSN, DNP and PhD) with curricula that are unique and caring-based with opportunities for interprofessional education with medical, social work and pharmacy students.
Candidates for the non-tenure earning practice-teaching track position should be certified as a nurse practitioner or nurse administrator with either a DNP or PhD in Nursing or closely related field, and may hold a Master's degree in Nursing with a focused area of practice; not required if holds a DNP degree with a focused area of practice. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership experiences within health systems.
Dual Degree DNP MHA/MBA Program Director expectations and responsibilities of this assignment include:
• In collaboration with the Assistant Dean, Graduate Practice, Assistant Dean of Executive and Continuing Education and Academic-Practice Partnerships, and Associate Dean Academic programs, have day-to-day oversight of the DNP program
Duties:
- Chair committee meetings.
- Participate in hiring faculty. Participate in scheduling designated courses.
- Collaborate with an academic advisor to manage and track student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and completion. Manage admission processes of students.
- Manage the organization and maintenance of records. Manage student placements in nursing practice courses.
- Provide student advisement.
- Give oversight and collaborate with faculty and the Center for Online Learning and Continuing Education (COCE) to ensure online course development and maintenance.
- Implement routine day-to-day activities.
- Participate in program evaluation and accreditation.
- Provide input to the Assistant or Associate Deans on essential matters.

Faculty members of I-HEALTH qualify for pilot grants, research technology support, and subsidized use of the I-HEALTH Bioanalytical Core Facility. I-HEALTH faculty pursue research including therapeutic intervention strategies, development of novel diagnostics, environmental contributions to human health, and clinical trials.
