Job Summary:
Oversees the daily operations of the grocery store, ensuring it runs efficiently and meets company standards for hospitality, safety, and environmental practices. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, managing inventory and vendor orders, maintaining compliance with cash-handling procedures, and organizing stockrooms. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage budgets and perform physical tasks such as lifting and stocking merchandise.
Job Specifications:
- Starting Wage: $19.25/hr

Job Responsibilities:
- Works as liaison between the Manager and Store Associates
- Safeguards company inventory using proper security procedures.
- Keeps store clean, organized, and well-stocked with merchandise.
- Follows and supervises compliance with company cash register procedures including cash, credit card, personal checks, and closing register at night.
- Place appropriate orders from outside vendors for beverages and grocery items.
- Order operating supplies as needed with direction from manager.
- Operate shop within the budget set for payroll and control expense in coordination with store manager.
- Inventory shop at the close of the season at the direction of Senior Retail staff.
- Know and utilize employee’s abilities and talents to the best extent possible.
- Organize stockroom and areas in warehouse that pertain to store so all merchandise is accessible.
- Order liquor, wine, and beer on weekly basis and other deli items where applicable. Take monthly inventory in these areas
- Other duties as assigned by Store Manager
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Supervisory Experience:
- Ability to motivate and direct people
- Good communications and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of windows based programs (Microsoft Office)
- Prior experience with Retail Point-of-Sale
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written in an effective manner
- Well groomed and professional appearance
