Position Overview

Responsible for overall management of Non-Performing Loan Administration – Non-Contact Administration and loan account servicing in compliance to credit union's policy and procedures and applicable legal rules and federal, state, and local regulations.  Position is responsible for the performance and control of defaulted post foreclosure or repossessed loan accounts assigned workflow and follow up.  Makes and takes telephone calls regarding defaulted loan accounts assigned and maintains accurate records on defaulted loan accounts serviced. Responsible for maximizing the collection and/or recovery of credit union assets from defaulted foreclosed and/or repossessed credit union assets.  Ensure all Credit Union members receive quality service, courteous treatment, and accurate information. Responsibilities

1.    60%    •    Responsible for successful management of an assigned workflow and meeting or exceeding key performance requirements and metrics as established by management.
•    Fulfills the recommendations for repossession and/or foreclosure of collateral according to policy and procedures.
•    Responsible for post foreclosure and/or repossessed communication activity on all consumer and/or mortgage loans assigned, with an emphasis on transitioning assets timely to maximize recovery.  Send statements and letters as required. 
•    Well versed in the NC General Statutes, CFPB and other regulatory agencies rules and regulations governing vehicle repossessions and post-foreclosure activities (including evictions).
•    Analyzes the financial situation of foreclosed and/or repossessed assets and take appropriate action to refer for remarketing or liquidation.
•    Responsible for clearly communicating available assistance and loss mitigation options/statuses to member borrowers and referring for fulfillment, when applicable.
•    Responsible for updating for every member account interaction in the loan operating systems of record including tracking dates, notes and all post foreclosure and/or repossession activity timely and accurately for assigned workflow.
•    Responsible for imaging all related documents timely and accurately to system of record for storage of electronic of post foreclosure and/or repossession records.
•    Provides feedback to management regarding recommended improvements and updating of department policies, operating procedures, and training.
•    Ability to work under partial supervision regarding routine default matters including escalated phone calls and callbacks, identify and troubleshoot account maintenance and/or processing errors.
2.    20%    •    Helps identify opportunities for automating various functions using data and technology to increase efficiency and productivity.
•    Assists with implementing new or modernizing existing loan operating systems related to programs and projects.
•    Provides technical expertise, problem-resolution and feedback to members, service providers and management related to post foreclosure and/or repossession activities. 
•    Reviews and applies suggestions and feedback related to non-contact administration performance monitoring and coaching from leader to ensure improved quality and service. 
•    Assist the Collateral Disposition Manager with employee training.
•    Assist the Collateral Disposition Manager with writing and testing new policies and procedures.   

3.    10%    •    Assist with preparing and reviewing reports pertaining to default trends, activity, and team performance.
•    Completes the recommendation of charge offs timely and accurately according to policy and procedures. 
•    As necessary, performs skip-trace process on member borrowers without viable contact information to assist in locating collateral for repossession.
•    Process requests related to work out plans, vehicle redemption, right of setoff and notice of claim documents related to Deceased member accounts and refer members who have indicated they have filed for Bankruptcy or Active-Duty Military for appropriate validation/processing. 
•    Collaborates with other areas of the credit union including operations to research, identify and correct processing errors.
4.    10%    •    Identifies and submits recognition of employees and positive member interaction success stories to management.
•    Ensure that all communication and processing activity comply with credit union's policy and procedures and applicable legal rules and federal, state and local regulations.
