About the role

WWC Global is seeking a Software Developer/Engineer to support the Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) program located in USSOCOM Headquarters at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL. The individual will provide mid-level contributions to the Knowledge Management team utilizing traditional Agile structure (scrum and backlog meetings, sprints, etc.)

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, development, implementation and ongoing support of critical business applications.
  • Compatibility – ensure the production application will work within the SOF network cybersecurity policies and authorized dependencies such as supportable browsers and STIGs. Design workflow - using requirement specification design workflow form, routing, and interfaces.
  • Relationship mapping -- determine individual data entities within the workflow and determine the number of unique data objects needed to develop workflow.
  • Develop user interface - develop layout of frames and fields that includes grid and stack panel layout, borders and sizing, repeatable entries, drop down lists, check boxes and other inputs.
  • Map data fields to database - create physical tables, stored procedures, services, logical interfaces and proxies.
  • Set up configuration data - includes all necessary set up items (i.e., workflow configuration, route configuration, group parameter configuration, etc.) required for workflow to execute properly.
  • Records Retention and Data Export - provide the capability to export information in a readable, and searchable format that can be imported into a records management system.
  • Development Testing - unit test workflow to make sure all requirements are met and then migrate the developed solution to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) server.
  • Server Operations and Maintenance: Contractor must upgrade and maintain physical services and patching, reboots, applying STIGs, etc… on the EWMS and TMT servers as required. Much of this work happens in the evening during the weekly maintenance window.


Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Travel:

  • 0-10% / Minimal travel expected.
