GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

This position is for a clinical adjunct during the weekdays. Applicants must be able to work either Monday/Tuesday OR Wednesday/ Thursdays each week for the entire semester. Both days are eight (8) hours for a required 16 hours per week. 

   

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

 

A Master’s Degree with a major in Nursing and a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse. Med Surg experience preferred.    

Must hold an unencumbered registered nurse license to practice in Mississippi.   

Must satisfy a criminal history background check, drug screen, and other clinical requirements.   

Teaching experience preferred.

Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.  

   

Aptitude 

1. Maintain current professional credentials and certifications as required in respective field.  

2. Cooperate in the execution of the college, center, division, and program policies, procedures and guidelines.  

3. Implement teaching strategies that engage learners in active learning.  

4. Utilize technology in teaching in the clinical setting, as needed. 

5. Complete required professional development activities by designated deadlines.  

6. Participate in other professional development activities, professional associations, presentations, publications, applied educational research, consulting, evaluations, and similar activities which enhance the individual
