Information Technology Professionals, We Want You!
The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a highly experienced Classified Systems Architect to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems support team.
Note- The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at one of the following facilities: Elkton, Maryland, Linthicum, Maryland, Annapolis Junction, Maryland or Roy, Utah. This is not a virtual position.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Perform as Classified Systems Architect for the Defense Systems Sector.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format.
- Develop and maintain hardware and software standards that provide functional and compliant baselines for the Defense Systems Sector.
- Provide input to classified solutions and our business partners on deployment strategies and timelines.
- Analyze internal or external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems.
- Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) and mentoring support to internal and external members
- Recommend and implement system enhancements and automations that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
- Recommend and implement standardized toolsets to repositories to allow for unified system support across the Defense Sector
- Develop standardized solutions to deliver resiliency to Classified Solutions systems, provide SME input on custom solutions as required.
- Develop test plans and acceptance criteria for new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
- Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
- Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, system components.
- Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.
- Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
- Lead projects and report on status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
- Work across disciplines to isolate issues between software, firmware, and hardware, between software and operating systems, between networks and applications, and between one-time events and recurrent systematic problems.
- Lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Work after hours, and weekends, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
Master's Degree with 12 years of IT experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 14 years of IT experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 18 years of IT experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 20 years of IT experience is required
Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II, or higher, certification (example: Security+ CE); maintaining the required certification will be a condition of continued employment
Experience managing Windows Server OS
Experience with designing Windows domain architectures, including but not limited to Active Directory, GPOs, Policies, and permissions
