JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision the Library Public Services Coordinator, coordinate and supervise the activities of staff and public services duties at an assigned Campus Library.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
 

  • Supervises the Campus Library public services staff and all associated responsibilities, including staff training, scheduling public service desk shifts, developing new procedures to improve customer service, resolving escalated customer issues, and motivating library staff to meet goals.
  • Serves as lead for the library’s technology needs by identifying hardware and software updates needed and partnering with College and County IT from request to completion.
  • Serves as a liaison to the St. Lucie County Library system, which includes but is not limited to serving on the county’s IT taskforce.
  • Collaborates closely with faculty librarians and the Dean to develop and implement an effective communication plan between college, campus, and library stakeholders.
  • Serves as a part of the College library public service team, which includes providing excellent customer service to all library patrons and assisting students with basic technology questions.
  • Participates in the maintenance of the College and County library collections.
  • Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
