Senior Contracts Specialist

You will play an important role in the Government Solutions team by supporting and managing activities for various government and commercial contracts. You should enjoy working in a team-oriented and dynamic environment where problem-solving and negotiation skills are essential.
Your tasks will include proposal support, contract drafting and sales order administration. You will work with key people in Legal, Sales, Market Development, and Program Management meet program requirements, and help the company and our customers succeed.
What you will do
- Review and troubleshoot solicitation terms and conditions, provide required certifications, and submit proposals.
- Draft contracts (including prime contracts, subcontracts, master service agreements, and service orders).
- Provide contract interpretation, guidance, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Perform life cycle administration of various contract types and service orders.
- Manage Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs).
- Provide routine and ad hoc contract status reporting and audit support.
- Maintain accurate and updated contract files in compliance with company policies, best practices, and security requirements.
- Evaluate contracts and support negotiations, including identifying and analyzing issues and developing solutions.
- Monitor contract performance for conformance to requirements.
- Implement special programs to address security requirements of classified contracts and protect sensitive information.
- Proactively offer suggestions to increase efficiency, productivity, and organizational well-being.
- Foster strong relationships with customers, partners, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Your required experience/skills
- A University Degree (or an equivalent combination of education and work experience) with at least three years of recent, applicable experience in contracts administration and a solid understanding of the contracting process and general principles of contracts law in common law jurisdictions
- Familiarity with the customer negotiation process
- Effective English language communication skills both written and verbal
- Computer literacy with MS Office, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated attention to detail and production of quality work
- Knowledge of FAR and DFAR
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee).

Your success in this role will look like:

It would be nice if you had:
- Experience with Salesforce
- Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM)
- Experience managing classified contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community
- Experience with or knowledge of the satellite/telecommunications industry
