What The Role Is
Babylist is looking for a Fulfillment Operations Lead for our weekend shift at our fulfillment center in Commercial Point,Ohio. You'll work the floor alongside the team, but your focus is keeping our inventory accurate — solid counts, clean receiving and putaway, and fast resolution when the numbers don't match. You'll give direction, answer questions, and be the go-to person for anything inventory-related on the weekend shift. You won't manage people directly, but you'll set the standard for how inventory gets handled. It's a strong fit for someone with warehouse and inventory experience who's ready for more responsibility and may want to grow into a leadership role.
This role is supporting the weekend shift : Friday through Sunday, 6:00am–6:30pm.

Who You Are
- You've done the inventory work. You have 2+ years in a fast-paced warehouse with hands-on inventory work — cycle counts, receiving, putaway, and reconciling discrepancies.
- You catch what doesn't add up. You spot count errors and location mismatches and dig in until the numbers are right.
- You're comfortable with inventory systems. You can navigate a WMS, scanners, and spreadsheets to track and correct stock.
- You've led on a warehouse floor. You have at least 6 months in a lead position and know how to keep a team on track without being their manager.
- You stay steady when it gets busy. When things go sideways, you don't panic — you speak up, solve what you can, and pull in help when you need it.
- You communicate clearly. You explain what needs to happen so teammates actually understand it.
- You work safely and accurately. You care about getting it right and following safety rules, every shift.
- You can do the physical work. You can stand, walk, bend, lift up to 20 lbs, and stay active across a 10–12 hour shift with breaks. You're comfortable around noise, movement, and changing temperatures.
- You can follow instructions in English. You can speak, read, and understand English well enough to follow safety-critical directions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Keep inventory accurate. Run cycle counts so on-hand numbers match what's actually on the shelf.
- Handle receiving and putaway. Make sure incoming stock is counted, logged, and stored in the right locations.
- Resolve discrepancies fast. Investigate count mismatches and fix the root cause, not just the symptom.
- Keep the floor organized. Ensure locations are labeled, stocked, and easy to pick from.
- Guide the team. Answer inventory questions, unblock people, and train new hires on proper handling.
- Escalate early. Flag shrink, damage, and recurring errors to your supervisor before they grow.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours per shift) with scheduled breaks
- Walk the floor extensively, averaging 10,000+ steps per day
- Lift and move items up to 20 lbs regularly throughout the shift
- Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and repetitive motion
