Position Overview:
The Project Manager plays a key leadership role in the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical engineering, and on-site installation activities related to customer supply systems. These systems typically include cryogenic storage tanks, vaporizers, pumps, high-pressure receivers, piping systems, controls, and instrumentation used to deliver atmospheric gases, hydrogen, or CO₂ at customer sites. Projects range from standard installations to complex, first-of-a-kind systems.
This role supports a 13-state territory and works closely with the Regional Installation Team. The Project Manager serves as a technical expert, guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of industrial gas systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and size customer supply systems for atmospheric gases, hydrogen, and CO₂, ranging from basic to highly complex configurations.
- Perform and approve detailed engineering calculations, including tank sizing, process line sizing, valve specifications, pressure drop analysis, and safety relief valve sizing.
- Review and approve fabrication drawings and construction submittals, ensuring compliance with specifications and recommending design improvements.
- Provide technical consultation and engineering recommendations to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support field technicians with timely, informed decisions under tight deadlines and limited information.
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution from site survey through startup.
- Plan and manage personnel, equipment, and materials required for system installations.
- Administer quality assurance programs and maintain accurate documentation.
- Contribute to the development of engineering standards and best practices.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring adherence to safety and performance goals.
Qualifications

Required:
- Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering technology.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering and design.
- Minimum of 2 years of project management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Overnight travel 10 to 15% to support project and construction activities.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and familiarity with civil, electrical, and process piping disciplines.
- Understanding of relevant codes and standards, including ASME, NFPA, DOT, and CGA.
- Experience specifying piping materials, components, brazing and welding processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
