GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Senior Quality Review Manager partners with business partners and internal managers within Consumer Lending to support operation excellence through quality control efforts and initiatives. Develop strategies around control plans, tools, and methods. Lead and develop staff to execute strategies in accordance with bank, investor, and insurer guidelines; regulatory compliance guidelines, for example, RESPA and FDCPA.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish, maintain, and monitor key risk controls while administering assigned responsibilities.
Assist with report preparation on the audit sample, making recommendations for appropriate corrective actions to reduce or prevent the occurrence of similar deficiencies in the future.
Responsible for ensuring personal and team compliance with directives, both verbal and electronic, from regulatory agencies, GSEs, investors and insurers for Consumer Lending functional work groups.
Identifies and implements work efficiencies through process improvement techniques
Collaborate on projects, strategy, execution, issue resolution and efficiency improvements.
Addresses control breakdowns, inadequate processes, and unexpected events. Implements corrective actions to address process and control deficiencies. Quickly and efficiently resolves issues raised by the second and third lines of defense and external auditors.
Plans, assigns, and monitors the workflow for optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness while ensuring production standards are met and maintained.
Reports significant findings on a file-by-file basis and distributes to appropriate internal parties.
Develops forms, tools and reporting as needed.
Establish and build strong working relationships with affiliates, lines of business, support areas and vendors.
Ensures escalated issues are resolved.
Partners with associates from Consumer Lending Risk, Business Controls, Internal Audit Underwriting, Collections or Servicing to stay abreast of their processes and the impacts on current servicing processes.
Interacts with more senior-level Analysts to further develop auditing, investigation skills and overall mortgage knowledge.
Exercise appropriate professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality with information of a confidential, complex nature and of strategic importance.
Serve as a visible project champion to sponsor/manage strategic initiatives; monitor progress to ensure compliance with objectives, budget, and overall corporate goals.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in mortgage servicing/default preferred
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience preferred.
Minimum 10 years quality assurance experience preferred.
Knowledge of legal requirements for loss mitigation and foreclosure processes.
Knowledge of accepted default servicing practices and default processes of foreclosure, bankruptcy, REO.
Systems knowledge MSP, LoanServ / ACE / CACS / Mainframe / BITB / MVP / Loansphere.
Extensive knowledge of servicing processes, rules and regulations including but not limited to RESPA, FFDCPA, GLBA, FFIEC, OCC. Federal and state laws related to legal Foreclosure and bankruptcy proceedings.
