Job Description
The Manager, Global Sales Compensation Engagement, will report to the Director, Global Sales Compensation and work closely with sales teams, sales leadership, and other internal stakeholders in a recognized “best in class” sales compensation function. As an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, the Manager, Sales Compensation Engagement proactively drives understanding and engagement in Visa’s global sales compensation program.
Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain a strategic plan for field engagement, identifying gaps and developing a collaborative plan to address outstanding needs.
Manage Sales Compensation deployment communications including development of materials such as training presentations and videos, reference materials, frequently asked questions, email communications, and manager and partner enablement.
Develop and maintain relationships with sales leaders and other stakeholders and establish strategy for overall engagement. Monitor and respond to communication needs emerging from all areas of the business.
Monitor and assess inquiries received from field participants and proactively develop materials that will minimize common misunderstandings and reduce inquiry volume.
Develop and maintain strong understanding of Visa sales compensation philosophy, messaging, and principles. Ensure that key messages are consistently reinforced through ongoing communications.
Assist with the development of presentations for executive leaders. This includes understanding necessary quantitative support for the overarching message, engaging with internal teams to gather the appropriate information, and integrating data into communication materials in an intuitive way.
Maintain the sales compensation intranet site, manage an inventory of all existing communication materials, and ensure that materials are kept up-to-date or retired from use.
Support expanded awareness and education on the benefits of sales compensation and the value of aligned organization and employee incentives.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• MBA or other advanced graduate degree a plus.
• Have deep experience translating complex quantitative concepts to a non-specialist audience.
• Be an outstanding and persuasive communicator.
• Have a collaborative style and be viewed as someone who is viewed as a strong business partner that is both efficient and adds value.
• Operate with an “enterprise view” – thinks and operates holistically and inclusively with all aspects of the business in mind.
• Continuously strive to improve the Sales Compensation function, ensure best in class practices are in place.
• Build good internal networks, engage others across the company by demonstrating initiative and approaching challenges and colleagues with a collaborative mindset.
• Build strong relationships internally and externally with numerous constituencies including senior executives, analysts, and investors.
