Asbury Automotive Group is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Technical Enablement Specialist to help maximize the value of our technology investments across the organization. This role serves as the critical link between technology platforms, vendor partners, dealership operations, and end users to ensure systems are fully adopted, optimized, and delivering measurable business results.
The Technical Enablement Specialist will work closely with dealership teams, operational leaders, corporate departments, and software partners including Tekion, Cisco Call Manager, Tekion CRM, Cox vAuto, Digital Retailing solutions, Service Scheduling tools, and other automotive business critical applications. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor, trainer, problem solver, and operational partner who helps dealerships align business processes with technology capabilities. The ideal candidate combines strong technical aptitude with operational knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for helping teams improve performance through technology.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Optimization & Adoption
• Develop deep expertise in Asbury's technology ecosystem, including Tekion and related operational platforms.
• Evaluate dealership workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through better utilization of technology.
• Partner with operational leaders to align business processes with software capabilities and best practices.
• Identify gaps in adoption and develop action plans to improve system utilization and user effectiveness.
• Assist with technology rollouts, enhancements, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
Training & Change Management
• Deliver engaging on-site and virtual training programs for dealership and corporate teams.
• Train employees on system functionality, operational best practices, and process workflows.
• Assess user knowledge and identify training opportunities that improve performance and adoption.
• Develop training materials including user guides, quick-reference documents, process documentation, videos, and operational playbooks.
• Support organizational change initiatives by helping teams successfully adopt new technologies and business processes.
• Reinforce best practices through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing follow-up with dealership teams.
• Partner with managers and department leaders to ensure training translates into sustained operational improvements.
Operational Support & Issue Resolution
• Serve as the primary point of contact for operational technology concerns within assigned locations.
• Investigate and resolve process and system-related issues affecting dealership performance.
• Open, track, and manage vendor support cases through resolution.
• Coordinate with software vendors and internal support teams to expedite issue resolution.
• Escalate critical issues appropriately while maintaining stakeholder communication and accountability.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions for recurring issues.
Vendor & Stakeholder Partnership
• Build strong working relationships with technology vendors, operational leaders, and dealership personnel.
• Partner with software providers to understand product capabilities, enhancements, and best practices.
• Advocate for dealership needs and ensure vendor accountability in resolving operational challenges.
• Participate in vendor meetings, pilot programs, and product enhancement discussions.
Process Improvement & Documentation
• Create and maintain standardized process documentation and operational procedures.
• Develop best-practice workflows that improve consistency and performance across locations.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate inefficiencies and streamline dealership operations.
• Track and report on adoption metrics, operational improvements, and technology performance indicators.
