Pay: $15 an hour

Full-time and part-time positions available

Job title: Host/Hostess

Reports to: F&B Manager

Classification: Hourly Fulltime, Part Time, Non Exempt

Working Hours: According to shift assignments


Job Purpose

The Host ensures a welcoming and personalized experience for members and guests by managing reservations, seating, and creating an inviting atmosphere. They maintain strong relationships with members, coordinate with staff for seamless service, and uphold the club’s high standards of hospitality and professionalism. The Host also assists with special events and handles member concerns with discretion.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests with a gracious and professional demeanor, ensuring a personalized experience.
  • Maintain an organized seating chart, manage reservations, and efficiently seat guests while coordinating with the dining and waitstaff.
  • Foster strong relationships with club members, remembering their names, preferences, and seating requests to enhance their experience.
  • Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow.
  • Uphold the club’s high standards by maintaining an elegant and inviting entrance, lobby, and host stand.
  • Assist in coordinating private dining events, special club functions, and exclusive member experiences.
  • Address any member concerns with professionalism and discretion, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Adhere to club policies, dress codes, and maintain confidentiality regarding members and their guests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel, private club, or fine-dining establishment preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and polished demeanor.
  • Strong organizational abilities and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with reservation and seating management software is a plus.
  • A refined sense of hospitality, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Working conditions

Work is primarily indoors with some outdoor exposure. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.

Physical requirements

Good organizational and verbal skills. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitor and develop subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas and write and read member communication.

Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 30 lbs., up to 20 lbs. f
