Job Description​

Under the direct supervision and control of a pharmacist this individual may perform computer order entry packaging manipulative repetitive or other nondiscretionary tasks related to the processing of a prescription, while also assisting the pharmacist in the completing other pharmacy related duties that are not restricted by law to be completed by a pharmacist i.e. inventory control cashiering accounting record maintenance delivery staff training. All actions performed by a Pharmacy Technician related to a prescription medication must be reviewed for accuracy by a Pharmacist prior to the final distribution of the prescription to a customer.

PRN employee will be required to be licensed in Missouri and Kansas as a pharmacy technician, will be cross-trained into all roles within the retail pharmacy setting and will be required to have capability and transportation to allow the individual to work at any SLHS Retail Pharmacy location.
