Raytheon is seeking a Senior Principal Mission Protection Systems Engineer to perform in a high tempo, dynamic small team environment.  This high performing team is closely integrated with customers and contractors. This team operates at the center of critical US government functions enabling the nation to meet its national security plan and strategic goals. This position operates within a customer location. Location: Near Springfield, Virginia

What You Will Do

• Serve as a technical subject-matter expert on multiple resiliency topics and capabilities. Perform project management/project leadership tasks collaborating with a multitude of customer and other contractor teams.
• Develop processes, procedures and Concepts of Operations (CONOPs); build, coordinate, train, evaluate and analyze execution plans, supporting technical information, operating instructions and documents. 
• Regularly provide technical inputs, analysis, presentations, training and decision recommendations on Mission Protection topics to keep customer and contractor leadership apprised of activities, deliverables, problems and opportunities. 
• Provide Mission Protection support to enterprise projects as well as to other programs as directed by the customer.
• Maintain situational awareness on evolving threats and new technologies to build and design associated Courses of Action.
• Create and present abstracts, white papers and presentations to a variety of venues to include national level conferences. 

Qualifications You Must Have  

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
• Experience with missions protection or operations.
• Experience communicating verbally and in writing with senior leadership customer and contractor teams on complex issues.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Tool Suite
• An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior All-Source Intelligence Experience.
• Prior Mission Protection Control Experience.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
