Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Juris Doctor (JD) degree (or foreign equivalent). Experience collaborating with medical students, graduate students and residents in Family & Preventive Medicine Residency. Experienced in clinical ethics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree (or foreign equivalent) with focus on disability activism and bioethics. Experience with medical school curriculum development and program development. Experience in both pediatric and neuroethics. Experience working in Philosophy.
Brief Description of Duties:
Responsibilities include active participation on the Institutional Ethics Committee through meetings, consultations, and conferences; mentoring students in the Scholarly Concentration Program’s humanities and ethics track; and maintaining a strong record of scholarly research and publication in law, bioethics, and neuroethics. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. The Ideal applicant will have demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty across a large, diverse university.
Duties:
Ethics Committee
Attending regular meetings
Serve on clinical consultation team
Participation in the annual Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) conference
Scholarly Concentration Program (SCP) mentoring
SCP mentoring exclusively in the humanities and ethics track with participation in all related activities
Scholarly Research and Productivity
Scholarly research and productivity in law and bioethics including neuroethics
Other duties as assigned.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.

Evening and weekend work will be required at times.
