Class A CDL Yard Jockey

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: 

• Start time 4AM
• Transports trailer, full or empty, to or from, receiving or shipping, as directed by the supervisor. 
• Completes trailer movement log to submit to supervisors. 
• Completes daily yard reports and inventory on tablet. 
• Complete pre trip on all trailers used on shipping dock. 
• Meets and maintains safety standards. 
• Occasional local deliveries as needed. 
• Maintain proper housekeeping standards in work area. 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Basic math and reading skills. 
• communication skills. 
• Basic organizational skills. 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 

• Valid state Commerciall Drivers License (Class A CDL) required. 
• Preferably a minimum of one year verified exp0erience operating a tractor trailer. 
• Must be 21 years of age

WORKING CONDITONS:

• Lifting of up to 75 pounds. 
• Continuous walking, standing, and sitting; walking long distances.  
• Exposure to hot and cold conditions. 
• exposure to dust and noise. 
• Bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling on a repetitious basis.
