RESPONSIBILITIES

 

As our Quality Inspector, you are responsible for visually inspecting and testing all materials produced or used in production to determine if specifications and standards are met.

 

Your main focus:

  • Visually inspect and/or test all materials produced and/or used in production to determine if specifications and standards are met
  • Audit Personnel, Product, and Production Lines and/or Suppliers to ensure quality standards and/or agreements are respected
  • Assign final disposition and release material for distribution, i.e. component and/or finished product
  • Document inspection and/or audit results and maintain accurate and concise production records
  • Document and manage nonconforming material; communicate Quality Notification(s) to key stakeholders, e.g. Production, Planning, Warehouse, and Supplier as needed.
  • Facilitate root cause problem solving analysis
  • Ensure corrective and preventative actions are taken on defective product or material
  • Enter Item and material specifications in Quality management software as needed
  • Manage Finished product and/or component standards, ranges, and panoplies.
  • Effectively work and communicate with other departments in the organization
  • Develop, write, and/or revise Standard operating documents as needed
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice.  Coach and train Production associates on GMPs, Quality Principles, and Surveillance techniques.
  • Follow all site GMP policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 QUALIFICATIONS

 

We’d love to see candidates who have:

 

  • 1-3 years’ experience in Quality related field (including packaging, component, production techniques)
  • Lean-Manufacturing experience (a plus)
  • Intermediate knowledge of computers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis
  • Six Sigma-Green Yellow (a plus)
  • Prior manufacturing experience, preferably in the cosmetic or pharmaceutical
  • Develops basic competence in their technical field
  • Has the respect of more senior professionals
  • Can stay focused on objectives and needed results
  • Consistently delivers timely quality work
  • Effectively manages a demanding workload
  • Understands his or her role in customer satisfaction
  • Works cooperatively
  • Builds positive relationships with colleagues
  • Demonstrates integrity and good ethical judgement

  • Writes and speaks clearly

  • Familiarity of Coty products and procedures.

 

Functional / Technical Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
